Today we're going all the way back to 2008 and these paddle fan programs I created for Jamie and Grant's summer afternoon wedding in Round Rock, Texas.
Now, let me tell you, May in Texas is a lot hotter than May in Washington, D.C.! Seriously, a lot. hotter. So these pretty fans were well used and appreciated, both by the wedding guests and by me!
The programs were assembled from two layers of heavy celadon cardstock, which sandwiched the paddle fan stick. A separate printed panel was mounted on each side. The side you see above featured the couples names and wedding information; the reverse featured the wedding program and wedding party information. Each one was tied with wide grosgrain ribbon in the couple's wedding colors.
It just so happens that Jamie and Grant are dear friends of ours. In fact, Jamie was one of my bridesmaids! (That's her all the way over there on the left.) So it was a treat and an honor to be a part of her big day, too.
As you can see from the top photo, if your eyes are keen enough, it also just so happens that Jamie and Grant's seventh wedding anniversary is right around the corner! So here are some early Happy Anniversary wishes for you two, along with big hugs, a pile of love, and wishes for many more happy anniversaries to come.
