wedding inspiration board:guinness extra stout

Yup!  You read that right. I was inspired this weekend to play with a wedding palette based on Guinness Extra Stout. How'd that happen? Well, we have some Guinness in our fridge right now because (a) I need it for some cupcakes I'm making, and (b) it's delicious! So I've been looking at those labels a lot lately. And you know what? The colors are beautiful! Such rich neutrals, with that pop of vibrant red. I love it! Here's the label I've been looking at every time I open my fridge, with the colors pulled out as swatches on the right:

Just in case you're wondering, I use the trusty myPantone app on my Android phone to extract colors from photos quickly and accurately.

With my colors in hand, I sat down and found the perfect elements for my Guinness-inspired wedding celebration:

This would make a gorgeous fall wedding, or it would even be ideal for a wedding near St. Patrick's Day!  Add in plenty of ice-cold Guinness at the bar and put my favorite chocolate stout cake under that cake frosting, and you have a party!
