While DC is my hometown, Mr. Husband and I actually lived in Austin when we met and married, so I'm going down a whole week early to give me time to run around town and visit with old friends (and, of course, show off Baby D, who came along after we moved back east). We have a few fun things on our calendar already, and we're going to spend the rest of our time being as spontaneous as possible, since we don't get to do as much of that as we'd like when we're at home.
Even though I'll be away from the office, I'm going to be checking email at least every day, so I won't be completely out of touch. And of course, if you need anything right away, then feel free to call (my contact info's on my website).
Look for a blog entry in the next couple of weeks about the wedding, which promises to be beautiful: Bride Jamie has chosen peridot; ivory; and daylily shades of red, orange, and yellow for the wedding, which will take place outdoors at sunset.
See y'all (note my expert use of Texas lingo) in about a week!
